Day 17 | Wayward

Luke 15:23–24
And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate. For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to celebrate.

There are many Fathers and Mothers who, like in the story of the prodigal son, look to the horizon for their wayward son or daughter to come home. We know there are many who run from those who love them and care for them – especially their creator. Spend time praying for those who are running from God. Pray that they would have a moment of clarity and run back home to go from death to life in Christ. Pray for their families and those they have hurt in the journey, and give them the strength to celebrate when they come back home.
