Adoption and Foster Care is one of the causes Capstone has been called to. This call isn't one of simple social justice. For us, adoption and foster care is a reflection of our story. We too were once orphans with no father. We were rescued and adopted in to the King's family. We became co-heirs in Christ.
Because we were spiritually adopted, we feel like we are all called to the cause of the orphaned and abandoned of the world. We have numerous ways for the Capstone family to get involved in the cause for the orphan.
Adoption
Jesus says that he will not leave us orphans (John 14:18). The Father's heart is to care for the fatherless. Throughout the Old Testament and New Testament we see God call his people to defend the defenseless and care for the fatherless. Capstone strives to be the voice for the orphan, and challenge our family to be a part of adoption in one form or another. We have celebrated several families who have adopted both internationally and domestically.
FOSTER FAMILIES
Foster care is a beautiful expression of the gospel – it demands a selfless, costly, and potentially painful love for the sake of a child gaining much as we willingly give all. Fostering is not easy, yet it is such a need. We have numerous families who have accepted this call to foster care at Capstone. We also have a large support network in our Gospel Community to support these foster families.
Over the years we have partnered with Miracle Hill Ministries in providing information about Foster Care, ways to serve Foster Families and the ability to get licensed to be Foster Parents. If you would like to get involved in Foster Care in some way, we would encourage you to reach out to Miracle Hill and learn more about the ways you can serve Foster Children and Foster Families.
HOPE VISION SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM
Hope Vision Children's Home has been a Gospel Multiplication partner since 2010. Hope Vision Children' Home is located in Port de Paix, Haiti. We lead several trips a year to assist in the ministry of Hope Vision. One of the ways that we support Hope Vision is through a Child Sponsorship. These children have been orphaned or abandon, and now live at Hope Vision. We match families with a child, and they sponsor this child through a commitment to prayer, communication, and financial support.
