"building relationships, changing lives."

/// Our Mission

CapstoneChurch is AUTHENTIC in who we are and RELEVANT in what we do, so Christ can TRANSFORM lives and IMPACT the communitY.

Authentic:Capstone wants to create an “atmosphere of grace” where people can come as they are and be real. So often church has been seen as a place where you have to get cleaned up before you can attend.We want a place where we don’t have to put on masks, but instead can be transparent in who we are.

Relevant:Capstone believes that being relevant is important to reaching the unchurched.We value environments that communicate the Word of God in a way that genuinely connects.In the Bible we see Jesus use culture in different ways to enhance the message of the Gospel.Capstone is also committed to both the gospel of Christ and today’s culture.

Transform:At Capstone we want to introduce people to Jesus Christ because we believe that the only true way to be transformed is through a relationship with Him.Jesus transforms through corporate gatherings, building relationships with one another, and by serving others.

Impact:We believe that we are called to make a dynamic impact in ourcommunity by meeting real individual needs that will open people’s hearts to the life-changing message of Jesus.  Capstone is actively engaged in making our community a place where justice, mercy, compassion and hope pervade every city system.

“Understand that we cannot get different results from doing more or better of what we have done in the past.  To create a different future, we need to think different, be different, and do different.”

 /// Our Values

We value Truth. John 14:6, John 8:32, Isaiah 55:10-11, Colossians 1:28
We will never back down from speaking the truth - truth based on God’s Word. Sometimes people water down the truth to make others more comfortable. We see Jesus speaking in truth and love. We believe in teaching the truth and showing people Christ’s love through that truth.

We value Creativity. Matthew 5:13-16
Our God has made His people creative, and we believe His church should use that gift. We want the church not to be seen as a dull, non-relevant, bland place. Instead, Capstone is a place where creativity is used to make church alive and exciting for the people of today, while communicating the timeless message of Christ.

We value Relationships. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, 1 Thessalonians 2:8
There are over 50 Biblical "one another's" that tell us to be closely involved with a few others in order that we might learn and imitate attitudes and behaviors of Jesus. This happens when “iron sharpens iron.” We believe that relationships with in the Capstone family provide the best foundation for grace and transformation to grow.

We value Family.
Ephesians 5:22-6:4
We want to equip spouses and parents to live God-honoring lives. We want to protect and strengthen the family unit by encouraging time at home instead of more church programs. We believe that the family
should be the primary educator and nurturer in making their children disciples. It is our goal to come alongside and provide opportunities that assist families in the disciple making process.

We value Change. Acts 2:42-47
Capstone wants to make our community a better place through justice and compassion. Jesus tells us to take care of those who can’t take care of themselves. We believe that for too long the church has allowed injustices to occur in communities and the world. We want to fight for those who can’t fight for themselves, and speak for those who can’t speak. When we do this we believe we will see a change in the number of substance abusers, divorces, racial tension, and much more. It is a big dream, but our God is a big God!
